Our History:
Hon. Michael C. Farkas (ret.), a retired Military Judge and 30-year veteran criminal defense attorney and securities litigator, became Of Counsel to the firm in 2024. Judge Farkas joined our government relations and white collar criminal defense practices, and helped to create the firm’s new Military Justice practice.
In 2022 we merged our firm with industry-leader Gotham Government Relations, headed by David M. Schwartz, a renowned attorney, lobbyist, and campaign strategist. Together, our firms now bring to bear an unprecedented government relations practice, offering our clients a broad range of communications, crisis management, business development and political expertise.
In 2020 we welcomed Hon. John M. Leventhal (Ret) to our team. Judge Leventhal focuses on appellate law, civil and criminal litigation, trusts & estates, and guardianships. Known as one of the “most deeply caring judges,” Judge Leventhal has served New York’s legal community for over 40 years.
In 2019, Diana Fabi Samson joined the firm as our partner. Diana focuses on civil and criminal litigation as well as appeals, wills, trusts and estates.
John S. Esposito joined our firm in 2017 and focuses on civil and commercial litigation, criminal defense and appeals.
In 2015 we became Aidala, Bertuna, & Kamins, PC when we expanded our firm and joined forces with the revered former Administrative Judge and legal scholar, Hon. Barry Kamins (Ret). In addition to adding his experience to our criminal defense practice, Judge Kamins expanded our practice to other areas of law, including appeals and attorney disciplinary cases.
We also upgraded our capacity to deliver superior representation in the areas of personal injury law, business and commercial disputes, and real estate transactions and litigation.
