Giovanni Orlando Conti is part of the firm’s Civil Litigation Department and focuses on the areas of Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, Copyright Infringement, Defamation, Employment Discrimination, and Personal Injury, among others.

Giovanni handles a variety of civil litigation matters, including copyright infringement disputes between recording artists, products liability matters involving professional athletes, defamation disputes on behalf of public figures, and contractual disputes between companies operating in the hospitality industry, among others. Giovanni’s work involves direct contact with high-profile clients, including renowned members of the entertainment, media, music, arts, sports, and hospitality industries.

Giovanni received his dual Master of Laws in International Business Law and in Intellectual Property Law from Fordham University School of Law. While at Fordham, he served as a representative for the Artist Representation Society,  volunteered at the Fashion Law Clinic, worked for a global software company, and joined our firm as an intern.

Previously, Giovanni obtained his Juris Doctor degree from LUMSA University in Italy. While studying in Europe, Giovanni was selected to join Saint John’s University’s Global Law Fellows Program. Giovanni also took part to the XI Open Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Pre-Moot competition in Serbia and had the chance to enhance his legal studies in Poland and Spain.

Giovanni is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York and is a member of the New York City Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. 

In addition to his fluency in English and Spanish, Giovanni is a native Italian speaker.
