Guy: Chuck the Grimm ripper

The senator made Weiner do it.

Disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner wasn’t acting alone when he accused a Republican rival of extortion, according to Staten Island ex-Borough President Guy Molinari.

Weiner’s mentor, Sen. Chuck Schumer, was pulling the strings, the ex-Beep said of recent attacks against Staten Island Republican Rep. Michael Grimm (far right).

“Schumer is orchestrating all of this,” Molinari said. “He sees Grimm as a serious threat.”

Schumer denied Molinari’s claim.

“It’s a complete and total figment of Guy Molinari’s imagination,” said Schumer spokesman Mike Morey.

Weiner, who resigned last year amid a sexting scandal, said he dropped a dime Grimm to the FBI in the fall of 2010.

Weiner recently claimed that Grimm, a former FBI agent, attempted to extort campaign contributions from a politically connected rabbi, Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto.

“My client has spoken with the authorities and will continue to cooperate,’’ said Arthur Aidala, the rabbi’s lawyer.

Grimm, reportedly facing a potential FBI investigation into his fund-raising practices, questioned why Weiner didn’t make his concerns public in 2010 amid Grimm’s run for Congress.

“It’s preposterous to think that Anthony Weiner and the Democratic Party would not have used this to save this seat,” Grimm said.
