Geraldo Rivera’s son appears in court over domestic violence charge

The son of Fox News host Geraldo Rivera appeared in court Friday to show proof that he had completed a domestic violence program as part of a plea deal for roughing up his girlfriend.

Cruz Rivera, 31, wearing a navy suit and blue tie, stood beside his lawyer, Arthur Aidala, for the brief hearing in Manhattan Criminal Court.

He previously copped to attempted assault and disorderly conduct as part of a re-pleader agreement for allegedly choking and biting his ex-girlfriend during two separate spats inside his apartment.

If he stays out of trouble for one year, only the disorderly conduct charge — which is not categorized as a crime — will remain on his record.

Court papers say that Rivera allegedly choked Meghan Burke inside his West 175th Street pad during an April 28 argument.

A few days later, he allegedly flung her on his bed, put her in a chokehold and bit her leg during a brawl in the same apartment.

He’s due back in court July 10 for sentencing. Aidala declined to comment.
