Clothes call for LT at courthouse

Giants legend Lawrence Taylor must have been concerned that a Rockland judge would flag him for being out of uniform yesterday at a hearing to discuss his pending trial on rape charges.

Taylor’s lawyer, Arthur Aidala, explained LT did not realize he was required to make an appearance at the status conference — and, therefore, had not dressed for court.

“My client asked me to profusely apologize on his behalf for not wearing a jacket and tie today,” Aidala said. “He doesn’t mean to show the court any disrespect.”

State Supreme Court Justice William Kelly said the ex-linebacker was not offside. “No problem,” he said.

Taylor was casually dressed in black pants and a bowling-style, black shirt.

He is accused of paying $300 to have sex with a 16-year-old Bronx runaway in a suburban hotel room in May.
