Mayor de Blasio showed some restraint while taking a swipe at Fox at the 50th birthday party at Dream Downtown for lawyer Arthur L. Aidala, known for his appearances as a legal analyst on Fox News.
The mayor praised Aidala as an “international kind of man of mystery,” and a TV star who owns a restaurant in Milan.
“I may not be personally that associated with the Fox network, although Rosanna Scotto is OK,” de Blasio said, seeing the host of “Good Day New York” in the crowd along with Alan Dershowitz, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez, Public Advocate Letitia James, and Fox News stars Kimberly Guilfoyle, Shepard Smith and Juan Williams.
Despite his Fox association, Aidala “is a good human being and a loyal friend and someone who speaks the truth,” de Blasio said.
