Page Six has learned Maritza will inaugurate the Detective Rafael Ramos Foundation with a fund-raising event, A Night for Heroes, Jan. 28 at Irving Plaza.

The night will benefit organizations that helped her family after Rafael was tragically killed with partner Wenjian Liu a year ago — including the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, C.O.P.S., PBA Widows’ and Children’s Fund and Legacy Center in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

“I want to continue the work that he started,” Maritza told us.

“One of our missions is to help build a better relationship between the police and the community…and to help families who go through similar tragedies.”

The single mother said of life after losing her husband: “We’ve definitely had bad days, but we try to keep positive and not let every day be a bad a day. My husband never would have wanted me to sit back and do nothing.”

She’s holding a press conference on Wednesday at noon at the law offices of Arthur L. Aidala.
