Court jester L.T.

He just can’t keep his giant trap shut.

Former Giant Lawrence Taylor shot his mouth off yesterday — tossing one-liners around throughout a court appearance in Rockland County.

Outside the courthouse, the hulking motor mouth, who pleaded not guilty to charges of having sex with a 16-year-old hooker, verbally sacked a reporter who asked him to comment.

The disgraced NFL Hall of Famer glared and said, “No. Grow up.”

Later, in the courtroom, the loose-lipped linebacker took a decidedly lighter tone, cracking jokes with reporters and pals alike.

In one instance, he asked an Associated Press reporter sitting near him in the front row if he was there to cover him.

When he was told “yes” Taylor, 51, quipped: “It must be a slow news day.”

But LT got the most chuckles when prosecutors rolled in with a cartload of file cases.

“I hope that’s not all for me. I wasn’t even in town that long,” he remarked for the packed courtroom.

He also turned to a friend and said, “You’re not playing golf today, are you?”

But when it came down to it, Taylor let his lawyer, Arthur Aidala, do all the talking — entering the not-guilty plea to third-degree rape, patronizing a prostitute, sexual abuse and endangering a child.

Taylor’s wife, Lynette, was in the courtroom during the plea hearing.

When a reporter asked later if he had a shot at being vindicated, Taylor replied, “Hopefully.”

His business manager, Mark Lepselter, said that the case has been weighing on Taylor.

“He has been very subdued for the past few months. Mentally, he is trying to get through it every day. I am worried about him.

“It’s not an easy thing to deal with, but Lawrence is a mentally tough guy and he’s gotten through a lot of things in his life,” he said.

Taylor is accused of allegedly paying an underage girl $300 for a May 6 encounter in a hotel room in suburban Montebello.

Court papers in a federal case against the girl’s alleged pimp say Taylor admitted to sex acts with the girl, but was told she was 19.

Taylor, who led the Giants to Super Bowl victories in 1987 and 1991, is free on $75,000 bail.

Taylor has claimed he was the victim of a setup, insisting he never had intercourse with the girl.

The anonymous victim told The Post that her alleged pimp — Rasheed Davis, 36, of The Bronx, who is charged by federal authorities with sex-trafficking — physically abused her and forced her to lie to Taylor about her age.
